Comment: The Cory’s are such an interesting little fish. I love Cory’s, but these little guys are adorable. They arrived healthy, packed onr fish per bag. No one packages fish like Dan’s fish. The round bottom bags keeps fish from getting caught and pinched in a corner. I buy from Dan’s Fish with confidence knowing I am getting the best fish for my money.

Comment: Once again, I have received an order of fish that all arrive alive and healthy. This was my 3rd order, each one being a new breed to add to my community tank. I have a fourth order placed and then I’ll wait until he has my centerpiece fish in stock before finally completing my setup. Comment: 2nd order was also smashing! Every single fish alive and healthy. The danios and WCCM colored up to almost as good as my existing fish within 30 minutes. 5 out of the 12 danios were obviously pregnant, which indicates they were being well fed and were happy. A day later everyone was settled in to their tanks and greedily eating.

Comment: The fish arrived on time and look great, the box was obviously packed with a lot of care and attention. Cool pack was still working even though the weather was unexpectedly warm here. Floated the bags as instructed, and I left the lights off for them to settle in, an hour later they were already exploring and even ate. Very happy with my experience and I will definitely order again, as tank space allows:)

Comment: WOW! All fish arrived in great condition, as they always do! I ordered 3 fish from the $10 random assorted fish and I am very happy with the fish I got! Sadly, I can’t give this review a perfect 5 because none of those 3 fish were identified. I’m fairly experienced so I am able to tell what they are but, I received a beautiful cichlid that I can’t identify yet because it’s too young so I’m not sure which tank I should put it in. Other than wishing I knew the exact species it is, I am extremely satisfied with this order!

Comment: There are many places to get fish. Many lower prices and many dubious sources. There is absolutely no one that I would rather get fish from then Dan. Yes you pay more but what you get is quality, what you get is healthy fish, and what you get is the piece of mind that you will have a great start. Even with shipping delayed one more day, the fish came in in great condition, the fish came in ready to go and more importantly eating. I never dreamed I would spend as much as I did on the fish I did, but I can't think of anyone else I would trust more with that investment then the livestock from Dan's Fish. Thank you Dan and the folks that work for you for doing what you do!

Unfortunately one of my hatchetfish didn’t make it through the trip, likely due to the delay because of severe weather during transit. A refund was issued after contacting via email and communication was fast and friendly. All other fish in the order are doing great in their new home, very healthy and their vibrant colors returned quickly. The packaging was the best I’ve seen with each fish being individually packed with care. Comment: All the plecos arrived alive and well. I was surprised by the small size of the fish. I went back and reviewed the listing for the stock and it did list the size of fish. I wish that was more prominently listed. For the price of a couple of the fish, I felt that they should have been larger. While the overall experience was good, I most likely will not be ordering again as I don't feel like the value was there. I am not wanting something for nothing, but for some of the prices I personally expect larger fish. Lesson learned.

The fish were packaged in the shipping box with each fish in its own water-bed; Styrofoam walls lined the box and a "still-warm" instant heating pouch was taped to the inner lid. I worried having the fish shipped might be stressful for the fish, but after reading other reviews I thought I would try it. I live in the middle of Alaska and the fish arrived overnight and alive as promised. They are beautiful and lively. I can't thank you enough for the kind way you packaged the fish. They are all now swimming and eating after resting in their water-beds, (floated in the tank for an hour, before I let them free). I wish I had ordered more fish but these 11 are a great start. Beautiful, healthy fish as promised. Worth every penny on shipping! I will order again!! Happiness is an aquarium with fish living their lives as deserved. ☺️ Many sincere thanks.

Comment: 1x Blue Flame Apisto Male, arrived thick and healthy and doing well with tankmates. I may have to find him a female so he's not so lonely. 1x Panda Garra, arrived thick and healthy, active and feeding readily. Gotten even bigger and colorful since arrival a month ago. 5x CPDs, had a couple that arrived with thin bellies which was concerning. Through out the night 1 died and then almost a month since arrival they all started to die off 1 by 1. Now I've ordered CPDs from Dansfish from the past before and had a great experience with no deaths but this might be a one off. Dan took care of me right away and refunded for all of them and therefore still a 5 star review for how quickly he responded.

Comment: I've received two recent orders, a total of 16 fish, 5 weeks ago and 2 weeks ago. All are thriving. One cardinal arrived with spots but I treated it and it's fine. I notified Dan's and they thanked me, checked and verified my diagnosis which was helpful. I really appreciate that they fast the fish (no poop in shipping water) and pack each fish separately. Expensive, but worth it to have all healthy and thriving (unlike Petco). Still early days. I'll post again if things change.

Comment: All of these fish arrived healthy and active! And beautiful! Ironically, the minnows all got sucked into the canister filter sometime after dark, but once I realized they were MIA, and not just hiding, I took the filter apart and found them all quite alive, although somewhat confused. I modified the uptake hose for the filter and put the fish back in the tank. They all survived! So, healthy and hardy fish they definitely are!

Comment: The fish were shipped on time and as expected the fish arrived impeccably packed and all were alive. However, UPS experienced a flight delay resulting in an delay update requiring a new delivery date causing a 24hr. extension to delivery. Disaster for my fish I'm certain. The fish had made it to my local hub, but not in time for an origin scan and delivery. UPS customer service said I could not pick up my fish at the hub because it's against policy. After doing a bit of research I found that UPS does have a policy that allows for emergency intervention for live animals, at the discretion of the manager. I went to the facility and rescued my fish, all within the next day air shipping window. Hope this is helpful to others who may experience this.
